Sleeping bag liners enhance the heat retention of duvets and primary sleeping bags by 2-3 degrees in cold temperatures. However, they are not adequate for warmth on their own. In cooler temperatures, it is recommended to use them along with a duvet or as an inner layer inside a primary sleeping bag.
