In Posture Therapy the Rolls are used most of the times in pairs.
The Inflatable LONG ROLL/TOWEL was created to be placed under the low back, to help re-position the pelvis in to a better and more balanced curve/arch with proper function.
The Inflatable SHORT ROLL/TOWEL was created to be placed under the neck, to help keep the head in a better position between the shoulders and return the neck’s natural curve/arch, when the rounding upper back doesn’t allow the head to reach and touch the floor while lying flat on your back. It gives support to the head.
TOGETHER the ROLLS/TOWELS are designed for individuals who want to regain the natural curvature of their spine, to re-educate their spine to it’s natural “S” curve. They benefit and give support to the low back and neck when driving or sitting in an airplane.
This equipment is used by people all over the world practicing the Egoscue Method and doing the exercises designed and planned by Clinic Therapist and Independent therapists, with the purpose of changing the Posture of their bodies and improving the quality of their lives.

Standing at Wall
Description:
1. Stand against the wall with your feet pointed straight ahead and your hip width apart.
Notes:
Your hips and upper back will be on the wall but we want your head in a comfortable position so that your eyes are looking straight ahead to the horizon.In many instances when people try to put their head against the wall they end up looking up at the ceiling because their neck is under stress.
2. Relax your stomach and your arms and allow your body to adjust to this new position
3. Remember to keep your feet pointed straight ahead and your stomach relaxed throughout the exercise.
4. Hold the exercise for 2 minutes
In this exercise your head will go back to the wall eventually as the upper back changes position.
This exercise promotes proper positioning of all load joints with the wall as the map.
Towel Settle (Towel Sequence)
Description: – Lie on back with knees bent and feet flat on floor hip-width apart and pointed straight ahead – Knees and feet should be hip-width apart and straight – Place the rolls (towels) under lower back (above the hips, behind the belly-button) and under the neck (down towards the shoulders) – Keep your arms out to side with palms up
-Breath through the stomach/diaphragm. – Relax and allow your body to settle on the rolls.
-Stay in this position for 10 minutes.
This exercise will return the natural arches/curves to your cervical (neck) and lumbar (low back) spine. Reduce low back pain, help with spine extension. You will feel great after doing it.
Hooklying Hip Flexor Lifts with Rolls
Description: – Lie on back with your knees bent and your feet flat on floor hip-width apart and pointed straight ahead – Relax arms out to side and with your palms up – Place a small roll/towel under the neck and low back – Do not bend at knees (do not pull heels closer to butt on lift), just lift from hips – Lift up and then lower back down your feet about three inches just to touch the floor, and back up again
Keep upper body relaxed while lifting both feet off floor, relax your abdominal muscles.Your lower back should arch as you lift your feet.Repeat the movement 20 times up to 3 sets.
This exercise promotes bilateral hip flexor engagement.
